21 OctRumored Service Named ‘Google Audio’ Could Compete With Apple’s ‘iTunes’

Multiple sources have said that Google allegedly secured content rights from almost all the major music labels over the past few weeks. All this is going towards a new service that Google is starting up supposedly called ‘Google Audio’ which is a kind of a basic name but fits the spot right. This service is going to start out in the United States but it is said that it could go global.

“We’re still gathering details, but our understanding is the service will be very different to the Google China music download service that they launched in 2008,” the report said. “That service, which is only available in China, allows users to search for music and download it for free.”

One thing that is unknown is whether or not the new service would provide purchase and download of content, like iTunes, or another format, like streaming Read more…

19 OctThe Battle Of The Phones: Droid vs. iPhone

Yeah, this commercial pretty much explains everything that the iPhone doesn’t have and Verizon says that they will put all those features in their new modeled phones named, the ‘Droid’.

Do I think this will beat out the iPhone? Not a chance, as much as I would like to see the iPhone or something better to come to Verizon it pretty much isn’t gonna happen.

With this commercial aiming right at the iPhone, that must mean that something happened where Apple won’t let Verizon sell their product (the iPhone). So I was really upset when I heard that because I do in fact have Verizon.

From the looks of this commercial, it looks Read more…

15 OctNew iPhone 3GS Is Not Jailbreak-Proof Like Apple Said!

Let’s start out with this awesome quote: “It’s not going to be impossible to jailbreak even if the exploit we used is gone,” said Eric McDonald, a member of the iPhone Dev-Team, which publishes tools to jailbreak the iPhone, in a phone interview with Wired.com.

That is awesome! I knew that hackers were smart enough to figure anything out. The 24kpwn exploit used to help jailbreak previous generations of iPhones and iPod Touch devices only made it easier to boot up the hacked devices.

The newly shipping iPhone 3GS’s bootrom interferes with 24kpwn, but that will only make the handset difficult to start up after it shuts down. Booting up will require being “tethered” to a computer, which is what we saw with the iPod Touch 3g. That means if you shut down a jailbroken iPhone 3GS, or if it runs out of power, you can only turn it back on by plugging it into a computer and then re-jailbreaking the device.

So this whole thing will just make jailbreaking a Read more…

14 OctNew iPhone 3GS Is Jailbreak-Proof and Unlock-Proof!?

So as you know, Apple was never happy with hackers being able to hack into their products (iPhone, iPod Touch) and sharing with the public. Now a days there are so many people with a jailbroken and/or unlocked device that it is starting to decrease sales of Apps and things of that nature.

So now, Apple has decided that they are going to start shipping iPhone 3GS units that are jailbreak-proof.

Hackers used to get by the bootrom using the 24kpwn exploit that would make the guard think nothing was wrong and that everything was running normally within the device. Before the iPhone 3GS came out, some hackers Read more…
