Multiple sources have said that Google allegedly secured content rights from almost all the major music labels over the past few weeks. All this is going towards a new service that Google is starting up supposedly called ‘Google Audio’ which is a kind of a basic name but fits the spot right. This service is going to start out in the United States but it is said that it could go global.

“We’re still gathering details, but our understanding is the service will be very different to the Google China music download service that they launched in 2008,” the report said. “That service, which is only available in China, allows users to search for music and download it for free.”

One thing that is unknown is whether or not the new service would provide purchase and download of content, like iTunes, or another format, like streaming

Apple is investigating several reports of people complaining about poor battery life for their iPhone 3GS users after they upgraded to the 3.1 firmware. The 3.1 upgrade did deliver a lot of new and useful features but this was not what some people were expecting. There are several iPhone 3GS users on the 3.1 firmware that are looking for solutions to this problem but unfortunately there are not any kind of fixes right now, the only thing that could fix this is downgrading your iPhone to 3.0 or 3.0.1.

Apple is now offering (for download) a battery life logger, which will collect information about your iPhone’s battery life. The logger syncs the data with iTunes and sends it off to Apple for investigation.

Also, some of these people have tried restoring, which is what most apple help center’s would say to do when experiencing battery issues, but it still does not work. Some things that could slow down your iPhone and run the battery out faster is using push notifications, frequent vibrating, and running apps or the internet in the background.

This is all a rumor but you never know, it may end up coming true! iTunes 9 features will possibly include Blu-ray support, a new way to organize iPhone apps within iTunes, and also maybe some kind of integration with Twitter, Facebook and possibly even Last.fm or another music app.

With the new iMac’s coming out, this is definitely a feature that is needed in iTunes version 9.0 because it has been wanted for some time now for the iMac and Macbook’s.

Now a new way to organize iPhone/iPod touch apps in iTunes is something that has been needed forever! It is really bad that you will have to re-arrange you apps from your springboard and we all know how big of a problem that is sometimes, especially when you have 5-6 pages of apps. Here is a video showing how it should be done, and what a great video it is!

Now with the integration with Facebook, Twitter, and Last.fm, some of the features could include: showing what song you are listening to or showing what game you are playing at the moment. None of this is confirmed yet but I think that would be pretty cool!

Again, all these things are rumors, but we will see if they come true or not in early September, like always.
