This video displays a developer apparently showing an iPhone application called Wi-Fi Sync that will enable users to wirelessly sync their iPhones and iPod touches with their computers or laptops via a local Wi-Fi network.

This app promises a complete sync of your iPhone or iPod touch with iTunes without having to tether or any other hardships. This could come in handy in a variety of times, it will also solve a lot of hassle.

The application will require a separate syncing application to be installed on the user’s computer. This will be available for only Mac OS X at first but a Windows version is already under development.

The developer said that he wants to put this in the App Store later on this week, hopefully Apple accepts and doesn’t have an issue with it. If any issue show up where Apple claims to have wanted that in their 4.0 firmware or something similar, then we may find this as just being available in Cydia for all you jailbroken users out there.

1. Upgrade to 3.1.2 in iTunes (Restore & Update)

After you finish the jailbreak and it connects to iTunes, you should have an icon named ‘Blackra1n’ and in there you can install Cydia, Rock, And Icy. I recommend downloading only Cydia and Rock.

Later this month we will see the popular title ‘Rock Band’ come to the iPhone! This game is developed by no other than EA Mobile (Elecronic Arts Mobile).

In the game you start out as an unknown rocker and try to make your way all the way to the top of the charts. You can choose to play as a drummer, guitarist, bassist, or vocalist at any one of three difficulty levels. Featuring songs by the Foo Fighters, Silversun Pickups, Steve Miller Band, and the Beastie Boys. Rock Band promises to bring the rock soul of the award-winning game to the iPhone’s mobile platform and it is expected to change gaming for the iPhone completely!

Rock Band for the iPhone promises to let you play by yourself or play with friends via the Bluetooth multiplayer features introduced with the 3.0 firmware. So as long as you are above firmware 3.0, you are good to go with online multiplayer and talking with your opponent or friend.

The online feature is the first iPhone full-band game that allows you to play with two to four bandmates at a time.

If you can’t get your band together and talk over Bluetooth, Rock Band allows synching with Facebook and the use of in-game messages to check your band’s status and get together a new band if you needed to. You can also invite friends to play and Rock Band will send you push notifications when you have been invited or have some kind of alert.

This awesome game will have tons of game modes including Quick Play and Tour Mode. Tour Mode is where you start out unknown and then you work your way up to the top, doing challenges, earning money, respect points, and all of that.

The game delivers 20 rock songs to master, including: 30 Seconds to Mars, Blink-182, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motorhead, The Pixies, Rise Against, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Additional songs can be bought through an in-game Music Store and an option to take you to iTunes to make your purchase there if needed. Some more images are below.

This is just a minor update just fixing a few bugs that were found in 3.1.1. You’ll now find that Apple have fixed an ongoing issue which caused the iPhone to not wake from sleep sometimes, while AI also points out that an ‘intermittent’ issue which may have been interrupting cellular network services until you restart, has now been addressed.

Another problem was that some devices crashed while opening a video, this is also fixed in this new firmware update.

The update will be a little over 200MB in size and can be downloaded only through iTunes. Also, there is a similar update for the iPod Touch.

Now do not update to this new firmware if you are expecting to have a jailbroken or unlocked device. You should all wait until the dev team figures out a hackable exploit for this new firmware, which I will keep you all updated with.

The upcoming Pragram entitled “Blackra1n” will Jailbreak ANY iPhone or Touch Firmware! This is huge news for the jailbreaking community as this will make jailbreaking a breeze now and we will not have to worry about downgrading or any of that!

If you have not yet jailbroken before, basically it lets you download a ton of 3rd party applications, allows you to have themes, get free app store apps, and much much more. If you have never jailbroken before, I defiantly think that you should look into it.

Written Guide:

1. Add the iAccess source from ‘More Package Sources’ on Cydia front page

2. Istall ‘iAccess OS3

3. Open the application that is newly added to your springboard and hit “OK”

4. Turn your device completely off

5. Boot it back up

6. Open that same icon again and now you can edit the stuff in there

7. Turn all the switches off except for the very top switch

8. Exit the application

9. Download the keyboard theme:

10. Unzip/un-archive the file

11. SSH into your iPhone/iPod (user = root , password = alpine)

12. Hit the back button/up button as shown in the video

13. Go to Stash

14. Drag the unzipped 1st storm (or whatever theme u have) into the folder named ‘themes’

15. Go to winterboard on your device and select the 1st storm theme

16. After respring, go to spotlight so you can test it out

17. Hit the globe and whatever else you may need to do (as shown in the video)
