Rock Band for the iPhone promises to let you play by yourself or play with friends via the Bluetooth multiplayer features introduced with the 3.0 firmware. So as long as you are above firmware 3.0, you are good to go with online multiplayer and talking with your opponent or friend.

This is just a minor update just fixing a few bugs that were found in 3.1.1. You’ll now find that Apple have fixed an ongoing issue which caused the iPhone to not wake from sleep sometimes, while AI also points out that an ‘intermittent’ issue which may have been interrupting cellular network services until you restart, has now been addressed.
Another problem was that some devices crashed while opening a video, this is also fixed in this new firmware update.
