We all new this thing was coming sometime in November, and now Verizon Wireless has finally made it official. The Motorola DROID will hit store shelves on November 6th for $199 on a contract and also offers a $100 mail-in rebate. The DROID is one of the first of many Android-laced phones coming to the carrier, and Verizon Wireless CMO John Stratton even stated that the phone “is wide open”.

Android 2.0 will be front and center, along with Visual Voicemail, a 3.7-inch display (854 x 480 resolution), 5 megapixel camera (with dual-LED flash), a bundled 16GB memory card and a beta version of Google Maps Navigation.

The DROID is the first phone to offer Google Maps Navigation, which transforms Google Maps into a turn-by-turn routing system that’ll have your dedicated TomTom / Garmin left behind. There’s also a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3G, WiFi, voice-activated search and over-the-air Amazon MP3 downloads. With all that, who needs a GPS navigation system or an iPhone? Okay maybe I went to far with the iPhone remark but this thing does seem awesome!

I will be one of the first people to purchase the phone, as I will be heading up to Verizon before they open. You all know what that means, Unboxing!!

This is a neat little application for those interested in NASA and space shuttles but if you’re not then you should probably just ignore this app, although it is free.

So as you all know, Snow Leopard for the Mac was one of the most talked about topics rumoring across the web for a few weeks before and after the release. Now, I did a review on Snow Leopard a day or two after using it (that video can be viewed here) and I was quite impressed that I gained 20GB+ back of memory and the performance seemed to be faster. A few days rolled by and I was starting to get aggravated because my internet would keep going in and out and yet, before upgrading I never had this problem, that was the first of a few things to come.

The next problem that I found was that some of the applications would not work, now I understand that this is a new OS and coding is different but that is no excuse what so ever. Cyberduck had an update so that it would be compatible with Snow Leopard but not too many others are doing the same.

Also, many programs such as: Photoshop, Firefox, Safari, Screenflow, iMovie, and Final Cut Pro seemed to become unresponsive at random times and I would wait forever for it to come back but it didn’t so I was forced to ‘force quit’ the application, which caused great inconvenience because I was really working hard on whatever I may have been doing. I also did make a video on all of my problems and that will be below this article.

Overall, if you are planning on purchasing this software anytime soon then be expecting these problems, which I would think that after reading this you would not purchase it. There will be updates coming out in the near future for this buggy software so I would defiantly wait for that if anything.I do regret paying the 29 dollars because it was rather a waste of money and I now want to downgrade back to regular Leopard.

Now Snow Leopard is now available for pre-order in your local Apple Store and also online, which is a good route because it is free shiping and could save you some money by not having to drive up to the store. There are a lot of new in and out of the box features that will be available with Snow Leopard.

As you may know, NFL 2010 was released by Gameloft on August 6th, 2009 and it was really a surprise to most people because there wasn’t much news being rumored around about it (Video below showing gameplay).

Instead, all the talk is about the new ‘Madden 2010′ coming out on August 14th by EA Games, this definitely is going to be a big competition between Madden 2010 and NFL 2010. Now in NFL 2010 you actually have all the real NFL teams and players just like Madden and the graphics and sounds actually sound very similar to Madden so it will be interesting. NFL 2010 is $7.99 in the App Store and Madden 2010 is going to be $9.99 when it is released on the 14th. Now Gameloft may be better because they will most likely listen to their customers and may give updates (one is already going to occur for sure, for online play) but EA will most likely just leave the game as it is for a while.

I will be having a video coming out on my AppReviews101 showing you the similarities and differences between the two and also which one is better and more worth your money so make sure you are subscribed to that channel and I will keep you all updated.
