It’s pretty hard to believe that CES got hardly any talk this year, this means something is coming. A lot of companies spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to showcase their new products at CES and still, the majority of people did not go because there wasn’t anything Apple there because they have their own event, which is on the 27th of this month.
HotHardware says that AT&T may be losing it’s iPhone exclusivity as early as Wednesday at Apple’s media event where the Tablet is supposed to be announced
According to an inside source close to the going-ons involved in all of this, a new tablet of some sort may not be the only thing on deck for next Wednesday though. We have been led to believe by an inside source that AT&T will lose their iPhone exclusivity on the same day, though it’s not yet clear what other carrier (or carriers) will be stepping in to also carry the phone.
So is this possible that the new iPhone will be announced for more carriers?
This rumor of the iPhone going to Verizon or some other carriers is expected to expire in mid 2010. While the announcement of a Verizon-compatible iPhone definitely seems possible sometime this year, we’re not sure how it would fit in with what is believed to be an event focused solely on the new Apple Tablet.
